New Delhi, Jan. 2 -- A case has been registered by Delhi Police against those allegedly involved in spreading false information on social media claiming that the government school teachers were asked to count stray dogs, following a complaint from the Directorate of Education (DoE), an officer said on Friday.
The officer stated that the FIR was filed on Thursday by the Intelligence Fusion and Strategic Operations (IFSO) unit of the police after a complaint from the DoE about what it called a deliberate attempt to mislead the public and undermine the education system.
"The case has been filed against unidentified persons and the probe is ongoing," the officer said.
