New Delhi, April 22 -- The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested a Delhi Police head constable posted with the Anti-Narcotic Cell (Dwarka) for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 2 lakh from a woman.

The CBI registered a case against the accused head constable, identified as Ajay, along with other unknown persons, for allegedly demanding a bribe of Rs 15 lakh in exchange for not falsely implicating the complainant in a case.

It was further alleged that the accused directed the complainant to deliver a part payment of Rs 5 lakh by April 21.
