New Delhi, Jan. 31 -- Public Works Department of Delhi government has given a push to improve pedestrian safety and urban mobility across the city, with the approval of construction of multiple Foot Over Bridges (FOBs) at several of accident-prone locations.
The decision is part of the state government's strategy to bring down the number of road accidents, smoothen traffic movement, and also provide safe road crossing facilities for lakhs of daily commuters, enhancing facilities for pedestrians.
According to officials, the FOBs have been sanctioned at important locations such as Madhuban Enclave square (Vikas Marg- Patparganj Road) in East Delhi, Welcome-cut, GT Road, East Delhi, Shahbad Dairy, Badli- Bawana Road, North West Delhi, Ber Sa...
