New Delhi, Jan. 15 -- Delhi government has intensified its winter shelter operations to ensure the safety of homeless people amid severe cold conditions, with special focus on areas around major hospitals such as AIIMS, Safdarjung Hospital and GB Pant Hospital.
Immediate assistance is being extended to destitutes in these high-footfall zones, where the number of night shelters has been increased.
Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board (DUSIB), along with shelter management agencies, is conducting continuous rescue operations to identify people sleeping in the open and shift them to safe locations.
