New Delhi, Jan. 20 -- The Delhi Government on Tuesday announced the rollout of the Bus Route Rationalisation for West Delhi, under which CNG buses are being phased out, to be replaced by electric buses, by the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC).

The project is being undertaken jointly by the Delhi government and DTC to improve last mile connectivity across the National Capital.

Under the new rationalisation scheme, DTC services in West Delhi will see more electric buses being run, from January 21.

This exercise has already been successfully implemented in East Delhi, and the next phase is set to begin in North Delhi.
