New Delhi, Dec. 10 -- Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has said that the Delhi government is fully committed to providing citizens with a clean and safe environment, adding that pollution is not merely an environmental issue, but directly linked to public health, the future of children, and the quality of life of the elderly.

On her directions, the Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) has issued three strict orders to curb environmental pollution and dust. These orders are meant to dissuade people and businesses to do anything harming the environment but at the same time enforce hefty penalties against violations.
