New Delhi, Jan. 29 -- Delhi government will set up a modern integrated complex for children in conflict with the law, aimed at rehabilitation and reform, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said on Thursday.

The facility will have a capacity of around 700 children and cater to those awaiting hearings or found guilty under the Juvenile Justice Act, 2015.

The decision was taken during a key meeting of the Juvenile Justice Committee chaired by Delhi Chief Minister.

Senior officials from the Women and Child Development Department were also present.

The meeting focused on legal, social, and humanitarian aspects concerning children, with consensus on establishing a comprehensive, safe, and modern system for law-affected minors.
