New Delhi, Feb. 21 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate India's first Namo Bharat Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) Delhi-Meerut corridor on February 22, marking a major milestone in high-speed regional connectivity.
Ahead of the inauguration, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Saturday inspected the Namo Bharat corridor at Sarai Kale Khan and reviewed the preparedness of the project.
She directed concerned officials to ensure that all remaining works are completed within the stipulated timeline.
Addressing the media after visiting the NCRTC station, the Chief Minister said thousands of commuters travel daily on the Delhi-Meerut route and a large number of vehicles ply on the stretch, leading to congestion and pollution.
