New Delhi, Dec. 23 -- : The Delhi cabinet has approved the establishment of the capital's first e-waste park spread over around 11.5 acres. Informing this, Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa said on Monday that the tendering process for the project will be floated soon.

The proposed e-waste park will strictly adhere to norms to prevent air and water pollution and will be developed in line with European-level environmental standards, the minister said.

Delhi has around 160 water bodies under the Delhi government and the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD). Reviving these water bodies will significantly aid efforts to combat pollution, Sirsa informed.
