Pankaj JainNew Delhi, Jan. 15 -- Delhi Legislative assembly secretariat on Thursday issued a notice to Leader of Opposition and AAP leader Atishi in connection with an alleged breach of privilege and contempt of the House over remarks reportedly made against Sikh Gurus during Assembly proceedings earlier this month.
According to the notice dated January 15, the matter relates to the proceedings of the House held on January 6.
The Secretariat stated that despite repeated requests by the Speaker to defer discussion on pollution to the following day, Atishi allegedly continued speaking and made remarks that were considered derogatory towards Sikh Gurus.
