Pune, April 5 -- The 'Ek Mitra Ek Vruksha' (One Friend One Tree) group in Daund, near here, has been consistently working towards environmental conservation through large-scale tree plantation drives over the past one decade.
In addition to planting trees, the group has, over the last five years, introduced an innovative initiative by constructing bowl-shaped cement water troughs at plantation sites. These water sources have been set up across villages including Wakhari, Padvi, Delvadi, Undavadi in Daund taluka, and Naroli in Baramati taluka, a release stated on Sunday.
