Shimla, Feb. 15 -- The winter season in Himachal Pradesh, traditionally marked by biting cold waves and sub-zero temperatures in several parts, is witnessing an unusual spell of warmth this year.
Day temperatures across the state remained significantly above normal, with several stations recording departures of around five degrees Celsius or more.
Una recorded the highest maximum temperature in the State at 28.0degC, which is 4.7 degrees above normal, while Neri in Hamirpur district closely followed at 27.7degC, registering a sharp 2.0-degree rise over the last 24 hours. Sundernagar reported 25.1degC (4.6 degrees above normal), Bhuntar 24.7degC (6.7 degrees above normal), and Kangra 25.0degC (6.9 degrees above normal) .
