Los Angeles, Sept. 4 -- Hollywood actor David Corenswet will once again don the cape and costume of the Man of Steel post the success of his new iteration of 'Superman,' with the DCEU setting 2027 as the date for a legacy sequel.
Director and DC Films co-head James Gunn took to social media on Wednesday to announce an official title and release date for the project. "Superman: Man of Tomorrow" will hit theaters on July 9, 2027, reports Variety.
Gunn - whose iteration of Superman is more faithful to the comic portrayal, as opposed to the darker version in director Zack Snyder's 'Man of Steel' - in his post also included a comic book image of Superman standing next to Lex Luthor in his Warsuit.
