Chennai, Jan. 30 -- After nearly ten years, the much awaited Dastkari Haat Crafts Bazaarwas inaugurated today marking the return of one of India's most respected craft platforms tothe city.
The week-long bazaar will continue till February 5 at the NIFT Campus here.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by eminent classical dancer and guru Ms. Leela Samson,who formally inaugurated the bazaar in the presence of senior members of the arts and culturefraternity, craft patrons, designers, curators, and well wishers of Dastkari Haat Samiti.
The opening evening reflected the spirit of the bazaar celebrating India's artisans, traditions, andthe enduring relevance of handmade heritage.
