Palghar, Jan. 19 -- A local court here acquitted a school teacher of the charges of abetting the suicide by one of his students saying that questioning a student does not amount to abetment of suicide.
Additional Sessions Judge SS Gulhane in his order held that the prosecution has miserably failed to prove the charges under section 305 of the IPC against the school teacher Sanjay Navsha Dhobade, 35, of Uplat in Talasari.
The judgment delivered on January 15 was made available on January 18, 2021.
The prosecutor in the case told the court that the victim (Shailesh) was 16 years old then and studied in the tenth standard in the Loyolo Ashram Shala of Nagzari where the accused taught Mathematics.
