Amaravati, Oct. 5 -- The upper air cyclonic circulation that was over the southwest Bay of Bengal off the Tamil Nadu coast on Saturday now lies over south Tamil Nadu and its neighbourhood at 3.1 km above mean sea level, the Meteorological Centre said on Sunday.

In its daily weather report, the Centre said a trough extends from coastal Andhra Pradesh to the Comorin area across Rayalaseema and Tamil Nadu at 0.9 km above mean sea level. The Southwest monsoon was weak over coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam and normal over Rayalaseema.
