Amaravati, Oct. 12 -- An upper air cyclonic circulation lies over the southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining south Tamil Nadu coast, extending up to 5.8 km above mean sea level, the Meteorological Centre said today.

In its daily weather report, the department stated that the cyclonic circulation over the southwest Bay of Bengal off the north Tamil Nadu coast up to 3.1 km above mean sea level has merged with the existing circulation over the southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining south Tamil Nadu coast.
