Pune, Feb. 28 -- A cyclonic circulation has developed over southern Karnataka, while a trough of low pressure extending from northern Tamil Nadu to Madhya Pradesh has become active, influencing weather conditions over Maharashtra.

According to the preliminary weather forecast, temperatures in several districts of the state have crossed 35degC. With partly cloudy skies, the heat is being felt more intensely in central Maharashtra and the Konkan region.

The maximum temperature is likely to rise further by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius over the next 24 hours.

Except for isolated unseasonal rainfall in a few parts, most regions of Maharashtra are witnessing a steady rise in heat, causing discomfort among residents. As the sun's rays are particularl...
