Hyderabad, July 23 -- In a major achievement, the Cyberabad Central Crime Station (CCS) has successfully recovered 827 stolen and lost mobile phones worth approximately Rs 2 crore under the 8th phase of its recovery operation.

The initiative was led by DCP Crimes A. Muthyam Reddy, with coordination across all five CCS zones.

The phones were recovered over the last 45 days using the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) portal and were formally handed over to their rightful owners at a ceremony held at the Cyberabad Police Auditorium on Wednesday.

Zone-wise, the recoveries included-- Madhapur CCS - 180 phones, Balanagar CCS - 174 phones, Medchal CCS - 176 phones, Rajendranagar CCS - 153 phones and Shamshabad CCS - 144 phones
