Hyderabad, July 24 -- In a major crackdown on cybercrime, the Cybercrime Police of Cyberabad have detected 25 cases and arrested 45 accused across various states by July 22, 2025.

The investigation exposed a wide cybercriminal network operating across India.

Of the 45 arrested, 17 were involved in trading frauds, while nine individuals from West Bengal were nabbed for running a fake cybercrime call centre that targeted citizens in India and the US. The accused have been remanded to judicial custody.

The cybercrime police also seized 9 laptops, 27 mobile phones, 2 passbooks, 5 debit cards, and 1 credit card. In a major relief to victims, the police secured 153 refund orders worth Rs 99.14 lakh through court directions in 40 cases.
