Kolkata, Oct. 2 -- With beats of drums after 'Sindoor Khela', a celebratory ritual by the married women seeking well being on the last day of Durga Puja, the five-day festival for the Bengalis concluded today with thousands idols were being immersed, mainly in the Hooghly amid tight security.

The married Hindu women, dressed in traditional white sarees with red borders, participated in Sindur Khela - a symbolic ritual where women offered vermillion and sweets to the goddess, then smeared each other's faces with Sindoor and exchanged greetings for marital bliss.
