Washington, Nov. 19 -- After receiving a lavish White House welcome, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Tuesday held bilateral talks with President Donald Trump and announced sweeping economic and military agreements while pledging to increase Saudi investment in the United States from USD 600 billion to nearly $1 trillion.
During the visit, Trump defended the Crown Prince over the 2018 killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, insisting that the kingdom's de facto ruler "knew nothing" about the murder.
