Agartala, Oct. 26 -- A three-day-old baby girl in Tripura's Sepahijala district, born with a rare and life-threatening congenital disorder, was saved last week following a complex surgery at Tripura Medical College. The newborn, daughter of Mamata Das and Sahadev Das from Kolomkhet in Urumai, was delivered via caesarean section at a private hospital 10 days ago. Soon after birth, she began experiencing severe respiratory distress whenever she was breastfed.
