Nagpur, Nov. 10 -- In a spate of audacious daylight frauds, criminals posing as police officers robbed elderly residents across Nagpur, making off with gold jewellery worth several lakhs of rupees, officials said on MondayIn the first case, Tehsil area, around 10:45 am near Amarkar Jewellers on Itwari Road, four men convinced 55-year-old Mamta Dhadiwal that they were police officers and persuaded her to hand over her gold jewellery. The culprits fled with valuables worth approximately Rs 3.7 lakh.
