Kolkata, Feb. 19 -- The Communist Party of India-Marxist's (CPI-M's) internal churn over former student leader Pratikur Rahaman widened on Thursday, with fresh speculation surrounding the political future of another popular youth face, Dipsita Dhar.

Party sources said till Thursday afternoon Dhar had not renewed her primary membership of the CPI-M.

According to the party Constitution, membership renewal takes place annually between January 1 and March 31. However, in most cases, renewal of general members is completed by January and subsequently sent to the district level for approval.
