Hyderabad, Oct. 13 -- Communist Party of India (Marxist) Politburo member B V Raghavulu today criticised the BJP-led central government for attempting to privatise the country's power sector, alleging that the move primarily benefits corporate giant Adani while harming farmers, students, and consumers.

Addressing a press conference at the CPI(M) state office in Hyderabad along with state secretary John Wesley and central committee member T Jyoti, Raghavulu said the central government released proposals under the Electricity Amendment Act, 2025 on October 9, allowing a 30-day window for objections.
