Hyderabad, April 16 -- Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan on Friday directed the Telangana branch of Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), to intensify its efforts to reach out to more number of people during the present Covid-19 crisis.

She stated that as the second wave of Covid-19 was affecting more number of people, it was time that the IRCS increased its number of active volunteers and take up a wide variety of service activities.

Dr Soundararajan, who is also the president of the IRCS Telangana State unit, reviewed the functioning of all the 33 district units of the Red Cross through a video conference from Puducherry, where she is holding an additional charge as the Lt. Governor, a Raj Bhavan communique here said.
