New Delhi, Feb. 4 -- With West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress (TMC) chief Mamata Banerjee present in Courtroom No. 1 of the Supreme Court for the plea challenging the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bengal, the Chief Justice's courtroom was packed to capacity.
Lawyers were restricted from entering or exiting freely due to the crowd. A Delhi Police officer confiscated a mobile phone from a lawyer who was allegedly attempting to photograph or record videos of Banerjee in the public gallery. The phone was returned after the photos were deleted.
