Patna, July 16 -- The special CBI court today granted three-day police remand to the Assistant Director of the Income Tax Department and two other officials in connection with a bribery case.
Earlier, the CBI produced the three accused namely Aditya Saurabh (IRS), Assistant Director (Investigation), Manish Kumar Pankaj, Inspector, and Shubham Raj, Multi-Tasking Staff before
the Special Judge Avinash Kumar.
The CBI filed a petition seeking their custody for interrogation in connection with the bribery case. After hearing the plea, the special court granted three days of police remand for custodial interrogation.
As it is the CBI had arrested the trio on Tuesday for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 2 lakh.
