New Delhi, Feb. 11 -- The Rouse Avenue Court has declared Karan A. Chanana (Chairman & Managing Director of Amira Pure Foods Private Limited) and Anita Daing (Whole-Time Director of Amira Pure Foods Private Limited) as fugitive economic offenders (FEOs).
The court has also ordered the confiscation of assets worth Rs 123.85 crore belonging to the accused.
The declaration was made on the basis of an application filed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED), Gurugram Zonal Office, seeking to declare Karan Chanana and Anita Daing as Fugitive Economic Offenders.
It is noteworthy that recently Interpol published a Silver Notice against Karan Chanana at the request of the ED for tracing and freezing his assets worldwide.
