Mumbai, Jan. 31 -- A sessions court in Mumbai on Saturday awarded life imprisonment to Shree Jogdhankar for his involment in a murder case of 19-year student Jhanvi Kukreja, with whom he was allegedly in a relationship, after a scuffle that took place during a party on New Year's eve in 2021.
While awarding the life sentence to Jogdhankar, the court also imposed a fine of Rs 25,000. The court, however, acquitted Kukreja's friend Diya Padalkar, giving her the benefit of the doubt.
Additional sessions judge Satyanarayan Navandar found Jogdhankar guilty of murder under relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code.
