Agartala, Feb. 7 -- After conducting a rigorous crackdown on cannabis plantation, Sonamura police in Tripura's Sepahijala district on Friday night arrested a couple allegedly involved in drug trafficking from a border village.
Acting on intelligence reports, the police apprehended Ali Hossain (45) and his wife Mariam Bibi (41), who are residents of the border village of Durgapur. During the operation, police seized 1.105 kg of Yaba tablets, a 7.65mm pistol, one magazine, and a live round of ammunition from their possession.
