Chennai, Jan. 10 -- The Countdown for the January 12 launch of PSLV-C62 / EOS-N1 MissionEarth Observation Satellite along with 15 other co-passenger satellites will begin tomorrow at thespaceport of Sriharikota.

This would be the first launch for ISRO this New Year ahead of which ISRO Chairman and DoSSecretary Dr V Narayanan offered prayers at the Lord Venkateswara Temple at Tirumala in AndhraPradesh for the success of the mission.

EOS-N1, also called Anvesha, is an Indian hyperspectral earth imaging satellite built by DRDO forstrategic defence purposes as well as for civilian monitoring in agriculture, urban mapping, andenvironmental assessment.
