Corbett-Ramnagar, Aug. 30 -- For the first time, a mini wildlife lab has been set up at the rescue centre located in Dhela range in Corbett Tiger Reserve, world famous for its wildlife conservation in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand.
The lab is equipped with state-of-the-art technology which has been specifically calibrated for testing large wildlife species like tigers, leopards and elephants.
Corbett officials say that with the modern lab, it will now be possible to test any sick or injured wildlife immediately here.
Earlier, samples for blood tests and other medical tests had to be sent to IVRI (Bareilly) or WII (Dehradun), and it took 3-4 days for the report to come.
With this facility, all reports will be available immediately.
