Hyderabad, Feb. 23 -- Telangana Minister for Panchayati Raj, Rural Development and Women and Child Welfare Dhanasari Anasuya Seethakka on Monday stressed the need for stronger coordination among departments to ensure the comprehensive development, safety and empowerment of women in the State.

Chairing a high-level review meeting on women's welfare, the Minister said a detailed action plan should be prepared by integrating the efforts of departments such as education, health, police, forest, Panchayati Raj, municipal administration and women and child welfare.

She directed officials to form topic-wise sub-committees and submit recommendations on women's development, equal opportunities and protection.
