Imphal, Jan. 21 -- Acting on specific inputs received from Delhi Police, Manipur Police carried out a coordinated operation on Tuesday against an inter-state vehicle theft racket, leading to the recovery of six stolen vehicles and the arrest of a key accused, police said on Wednesday.
With the assistance of ICICI Lombard Insurance Company and technical support, police recovered six vehicles stolen from outside Manipur from areas in Churachandpur and Imphal West districts.
The recovered vehicles were handed over to the concerned police stations after completion of due legal formalities, while coordination with the originating States is underway for further recovery procedures.
