Raipur/Sukma, Feb. 15 -- Barely a couple of days after a controversy erupted over songs played in memory of slain Maoist commander Madvi Hidma during a public event in Chhattisgarh's Jagdalpur, a fresh incident has unsettled Bastar region.
Reports reaching Chhattisgarh capital Raipur said a group of visitors from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh was detained on Friday after they were found performing rituals at Hidma's cremation site in Puvarti village, raising concerns over attempts to symbolically revive the memory of a figure long associated with insurgent violence.
