Shimla, Feb. 22 -- Amid an intense legal battle over the extension of financial benefits to contractual and outsourced employees, the Himachal Pradesh government has withdrawn its recent clarification regarding counting of contractual service for pensionary benefits.
According to an order issued by Himachal Pradesh Finance (Pension) Department instructions on February 16, 2026, have been withdrawn with immediate effect.
Earlier to this, a new law was passed in the state assembly in winter session deleting the provision of promotion and pensionary benefits to outsource and contractual employees.
