Shillong, Jan. 16 -- Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma, who is also the national president of the National People's Party, said that consultations are underway with several political leaders on the proposed 'One North East' political platform.
However, Sangma described the initiative to bring the political parties from the North Eastern states as desirable but complex. "The exercise is not a short-term political arrangement but a long-drawn process aimed at achieving what many parties have attempted - and failed - to accomplish over decades," he informed.
