Thiruvananthapuram, Aug. 31 -- Padma Shri awardee and Travancore Royal Family member Princess Gouri Lakshmi Bayi has stressed the need for constant and sustained efforts to promote India's unique art and culture on global platforms.
Inaugurating the Dr. Sasilekha Nair Foundation for Education and International Art (SFEIA) here, she said the initiative has the potential to evolve into a vibrant global stage for Indian artists.
The foundation, set up by Dr. Sasilekha Nair -- former Mrs. Grand Universe and a Bharatanatyam dancer -- seeks to promote education, create international opportunities for Indian artists, and facilitate performances by global talents in India.
