Fatehpur, Aug. 12 -- Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee President and former minister Ajay Rai has strongly condemned the vandalism at a local mausoleum in Fatehpur district that has led to communal unrest, and squarely blamed the Yogi government for it.
The situation escalated after members of Hindu organizations allegedly attempted to perform religious rituals at the mausolem, claiming it to be a Hindu temple. This led to communal unrest in the historically peaceful region.
Congress leader Ajay Rai held the Yogi Adityanath-led BJP government responsible for what he described as a "deliberate attempt to disturb communal harmony."
