Nagpur, Feb. 13 -- Congress on Friday intensified its attack on the Maharashtra government, alleging a sharp decline in law and order across the state, particularly in Mumbai, following fresh threats reportedly linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang against leading Bollywood personalities.

Addressing the media in Nagpur, Maharashtra Congress spokesperson Atul Londhe held the state administration responsible for what he described as a surge in criminal activities and growing insecurity.

He squarely blamed Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who also handles the home department, saying the responsibility for maintaining public safety rests directly with him.
