New Delhi, Feb. 1 -- The Congress mounted a broad-based attack on the government, with party president Mallikarjun Kharge, Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi and Congress general secretary K C Venugopal all terming the Budget "directionless", "anti-people" and "blind" to India's mounting economic distress.

Leading the charge, Kharge accused the Modi government of having "run out of ideas" and said the Budget failed to offer solutions to India's economic, social and political challenges.
