Hyderabad, April 29 -- Congress leader and AICC Secretary Sampath Kumar has filed a defamation case against BRS leaders K T Rama Rao and T. Harish Rao, along with certain media organisations, alleging false propaganda against him and his party.
The petition was filed in the Nampally Special Magistrate Court for Public Representatives. Sampath Kumar alleged that fabricated stories were circulated to defame him, including claims that he demanded Rs 8 crore from a contractor.
He stated that the allegations were baseless and part of a deliberate attempt to tarnish his image. He also accused those named in the case of spreading misinformation and distorting facts.
