Ranchi, April 16 -- The Congress on Thursday hit back at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over allegations related to recruitment examinations in Jharkhand, accusing it of politicising the issue.

State Congress spokesperson Sonal Shanti said the BJP had no moral authority to raise questions, alleging irregularities during its tenure in connection with the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC).

He said recent arrests of candidates and alleged members of a network in the excise constable examination case indicated that the present state government was taking action against irregularities.

Shanti also questioned the BJP over alleged examination-related issues at the national level, including cases linked to competitive tests.
