Patna, Feb. 25 -- BJP president Nitin Navin on Wednesday accused the Congress of compromising national interests during its long tenure in power since Independence.
His remarks came amid continued criticism by Congress leaders of the Narendra Modi government over the trade agreement with the United States.
Navin told mediapersons that Congress had repeatedly placed personal interests above national interests when it was in power. He said the party had no moral right to question the commitment of the present government.
Referring to the tenure of former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, he alleged that India's interests in Tibet were compromised, which later enabled China to strengthen its position in the region.
