Chandigarh, April 14 -- Marking the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Babasaheb Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Tuesday launched a scathing attack on the Congress and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), accusing them of systematically denying education to the underprivileged.
Addressing a state-level function in Adampur, the Chief Minister stated that keeping the poor uneducated was a "deliberate political choice" by previous regimes to ensure they remained trapped in a cycle of dependency, while scholarship funds meant for Dalit youth were allegedly siphoned off.
