New Delhi, Aug. 1 -- Congress MP Manickam Tagore today submitted a notice in the Lok Sabha seeking an adjournment motion for an emergency discussion on the "Mass Disenfranchisement of 65 lakh voters in Bihar" by the Election Commission allegedly at the order of the Modi government.
He asked the House to urgently take up discussion on the shocking and "deliberate removal of over 65 lakh voters in Bihar by the Election Commission-at the behest of the Modi Government amounting to a direct assault on India's democracy, the Constitution, and the legacy of Dr BR Ambedkar."
Demanding immediate suspension of all other business to discuss SIR which the Congress MP labeled the matter of urgent national importance and constitutional crisis.
