Lucknow, Feb. 2 -- Marking 20 years of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee on Sunday organised a 'Constitution Dialogue and State-Level Save MGNREGA Movement' at the state party headquarters in Lucknow.
The programme was held under the ongoing nationwide 'MGNREGA Bachao Sangram campaign'.
Addressing the gathering as the chief guest, All India Congress Committee general secretary and Uttar Pradesh in-charge Avinash Pande said the struggle to protect MGNREGA has made it clear that Congress workers are the only force consistently fighting on the ground in defence of people's rights and emotions.
