Davangere, May 2 -- union Minister Pralhad Joshi on Saturday alleged deepening confusion within the ruling Congress in Karnataka over the Chief Minister's post, claiming that the party high command had already begun discussions on appointing Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar as the next Chief Minister amid escalating factionalism in the state.

Speaking to reporters here, Joshi said the BJP had no role in the Congress leadership issue and described it as an internal power struggle that was adversely affecting governance in Karnataka.

"There is confusion in the Congress party. The High Command has started discussions about making DK Shivakumar the Chief Minister. We have no role in deciding who they choose, and it is not our concern," he ...
